IMO an incredible video; with awesome topography and the locals doing some grand canyon style "hiking". Might be long for some but the photography is topnotch.

My hairstylist is from Iran, and she frequently tells me about the hikes she used to do there, and still does when she visits a couple of times each year. A lot of it sounds interesting.

Beautiful area indeed. As Iran is mostly mountains I imagine there is a lifetime of interesting trails to hike there. Hopefully one day the political/economic situation will resolve itself so that all people could safely visit and recreate.

Chatted with an Iranian guy once who told me the thing he missed most was the hiking and the skiing there.

While not Iran, I've had the pleasure of doing a lot of hiking around in Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan and it's an absolutely beautiful part of the world. While I can't say I recommend Afghanistan right now to anyone, Kyrgyzstan is actually pretty safe and welcoming (not to mention dirt cheap).

More nomads of Iran. In this video the first 15 min is some pretty awesome canyoneering with some sketch spots; all with packing kids of course. Great scenery.
