Can any knowledgeable Mt Graham hikers tell me one important thing concerning the Grant Goudy Ridge Trail. Are you able to drive past the prison and get near the trailhead?

Huh? Last time I was there you drive almost to the Gate for the Prison then turn right on the forest road; it's signed. Then you meander around the edge of the property and up the road. I believe you used to have to enter the prison grounds but this is a go around. If you have to get a key that's new and as I said you are not driving onto the Prison proper to get to the road. The road may be impassable at the first water crossing, depends on maintenance and what you are driving.
