Mountain Hardware PCT 65L Women's backpack

A friend of mine ordered some stuff from Mountain Hardware and returned it. Asked me if I want to use the credit they gave him, for over $300! I have way too many clothes, so I looked at the packs. My GoLite Quest from 2009 is getting a bit rotty. So, I'm getting a new pack, the PCT 65L, women's, just about the time I am considering becoming a backpacker again! I don't have the pack yet, but will be picking it up next week, I think. Has anyone tried this pack? It has a LOT of bells and whistles, it will feed the dog, wash the car and do the dishes, and is definitely NOT ultralight, weighing in at 4 lb. 2.6 oz. Good thing the rest of my gear is pretty light. (The Golite weighs a little over 3 lb.)

But hey, it's free!

I'm wintering in Yuma, and plan on heading to Borrego with it, for a hike in the Coyote Canyon region. I'll train with it a little bit first on the local trails, see how it fits, and give a report.

I'm sorry your GoLite pack is reaching its end of life. They made some nice gear.

Yeah, it's still usable, but it's getting to the point I think something's gonna fail on it. Anyway, it might be fun and inspiring to have a new pack. We'll see. I hope it fits me.
