Hi, Im looking at an April 1 hike through the GC gem canyons and am looking for water reports. Aside from calling the GC ranger office are there other publishings of such water reports ? There hasn't been much precipitation this winter there so Im worried about getting stranded / aborting. I don't feel comfortable hiking to the river in any of the gems aside from Bass/Boucher, thanks. Rob

2/24/24 report
1. Roads are fine to Havasupai Gate
2. Good flow of water in Serpentine and Sapphire Canyons right where Tonto crosses.
3. Most other canyons not mentioned above had really high quality pothole water.
4. Yuma Point potholes are full, but that might change quickly.
Water, overall, not an issue at all between South Bass and Hermit's Rest.

Hi , do you happen to know what the waters levels are now in the gems ? Starting Mon. I called the GC ranger office and they didn't know but given what they saw at Boucher they think the gems will still have water.
Thanks, Rob

Sadly I have no updated beta after that February report. GC has not gotten much added precip since then, but it has been overcast with rain, snow, fog with cooler temps the whole month of March at the Rim. That would give me optimism.

There was water at all the gems except agate on our 4/1 to 4/9 hike. Bass tanks also had good water
