Mark your calendar, the Full Buck Moon is coming July 21st. Look up and admire to celebrate the antlers of male deer in full-growth mode.

While the Abenaki people were not indigenous to this part of the continent, I feel that their description for this moon is also apropos for the monsoonal southwest: Thunder Moon.
