Several videos by a young Chinese you tuber. She seems to specialize in rural roadless homesteads/temples in somewhat difficult to access locations. Good use of a drone for initial visuals. The first 15-20 seconds can be enough if you don't want to look at the whole thing. My takeaways-- China has some breathtaking scenery; amazing karst, and some fun hiking. The second video I would encourage at least a partial viewing. Just an amazing homestead access.

Great videos, thanks for the links. I could be a temple guardian, but the steel stairs to the village is a no.

@RedRoxx44 I've always been intrigued by rural China. Asian history is so unknown to western cultures and yet has stories that rival much of the eurocentric narratives we have learned most about. I think it would be absolutely fascinating to get lost in the vast interior of China and explore the incredible geology and cultures of the past that exist there. (And it saddens me that these stories are shared on YouTube).

Drone footage of remote places is always a win.

Years ago I worked with a Laotian young lady; was invited to her traditional wedding. I admired her, she told me when she came to the Us she spoke no English but now was fluent. The wedding party was interesting. The actual ceremony was conducted in the parents home. This was an arranged marriage, they had been engaged since 6 years old. Lots of booze, most people in traditional dress. I felt a little out of place but so many people were having fun it didn't matter. I love different cultures; they all have something to teach us whether positive or negative. And sometimes just in the eye of the beholder.
