I'm considering (not firmed up yet, just a thought) another attempt at locating that plane wreckage on Humphrey this Sunday, 8/3. Anyone else interested? I can take 2 or 3 in my car.

I'm interested. I'm heading out on a hike today. I'll check back this evening. I live near Greenfield and Warner but can meet wherever it's convenient for you. I can drive also if need be.

Glad to see that you made it this time.
This is a hike that I have concidered adding to haz for a long time and at the same time thot that I should not since there is uncertanty that any party going up will find it. I am glad I added it since it sparked interest in a few people. Since it's been a few years that I had done it I knew that some of the details might be off a little, like how many switchbacks to go up. Good to see that my instructions are good enouph that people have been able to find it.

Good adventure with good company. I was surprised it only took 1 1/2 hours from the TH to find it. I found more info about the wreck from aircraftarchaeology.com and posted it as a trip note on Steven's summary. It's brief but worth reading and sheads a lot of light on what happened.

In response to Steven's reply:
Do you know the GPS coordinates for the crash site?
I am thinking about going up there and the peak this summer?
Thanks
Gary
