WONDERING IF ANYONE KNOWS OF SOMEONE WHO HAS A DAY PERMIT FOR MT. WHITNEY

How coincidental that you just posted this. I just got a day hiking permit for next Tuesday. I'm going to show up early and see if I can snag an unclaimed overnight tag, if not I'll try to do the summit in a day hike (weather permitting).

Oh yeah, it's pretty easy to check available dates with their website...then just apply.

I have one, but I used it already. I hiked Mt. Whitney last month, on the 12th. Were you looking for a permit, or information on dayhiking it?

In response to Hank's reply: Thanks hank I wanted to hike the trail but I found out that one had to have a permit and I wanted to hike it this year if possible. Sounds like a great hike. If you know of anyone or more information I'd appreciate it. Thanks Larry
