As some of you already know, Stan (Kurthzone) was diagnosed with cancer of the prostate earlier this year and underwent surgery to remove the cancerous cells. Upon learning of the cancer, Stan began maintaining a journal that I think should be read by each of us, but definitely by all men. As you'll find when you read Stan's journal, if caught early enough, prostate cancer is treatable. Key words "If caught early enough"! Read how a PSA test can save your life and how one of our own faced this challenge with courage and faith:

(Hooli, Thank you for sharing this. I will make sure my husband is tested regularly. I'll send Stan a personal note wishing him well and one here too.)
Stan, Happy Anniversary!! Wishing you and your wife many many years of love and happiness.
I believe in the power of prayer and miracles. I'll continue saying prayers for your continued recovery and that every test is "cancer free".
God bless you and your family with continued good health and happiness,

I read the whole thing. Excellent story of courage and faith. I'm only 32 but think it might be a good idea now to start keeping on eye on my prostate. I'm very glad to see that Stan is doing well since his surgery. God Bless

I've worked in the medical field for over 20 years and it's so important for men over the age of 50 to have a PSA level done. If it's elevated, it doesn't mean you have cancer...most times it is BPH (benign prostatic hypertrophy) and something your doctor can monitor over time.
STAN.....you're in our prayers always!
