IN RESPONSE TO OLESMA'S POST WHERE HE SAID:
So, with that being said - who wants to start a thread on:
- Taxes
- Federal deficit spending
- Economics in general
- Democrat vs. Republican
- War in Iraq
- Religion
- Creationism vs. Evolution
- Good vs. Evil
- Friends vs. Seinfeld
- Ginger vs. MaryAnne
- Snoop Dog vs. Barry Manilow
- Microsoft vs. Linux
- Less filling vs. Tastes great
- Schlitz vs. Pabst
- Disco vs. Polka (a wash in my opinion)
Anyone? Bueler?

Polka my dupa. Disco rocks!

I'm going to go Polka, based solely on John Candy's role in Home Alone.

In response to olesma's reply:
I'll take MaryAnne over Ginger any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

I like both kinds of music: Country AND Western. (NOT!)
Page, Beck & Blackmore RULE! (only guitar players will understand)
What I want to argue about is who was more powerful: Jeannie or Samantha?

In response to bzachar's reply:
Samantha, based on the numbers. If there is a fight, Samantha has Tabitha and that wicked Ole mother of hers. Three on one, the numbers say it all. However, Jeannie's husband is in the Military, so you would have to factor that in as well. Now we have a totally new thread - Weapons vs. Witchcraft.
Ah heck, Samantha it is.

No way!
No amount of Tabatha's or wicked mothers can match that Jeannie costume!
I vote Jeannie!

Jeannie (more powerful uniform plus she would call you master...)
Ginger (I've already met the girl next door...)

- Taxes No, thank you.
- Federal deficit spending Please don't
- Economics in general What?
- Democrat vs. Republican Libertarian
- War in Iraq Um....
- Religion Yes, thank you.
- Creationism vs. Evolution I'm a strict flat-earth man
- Good vs. Evil Evil...of course...
- Friends vs. Seinfeld Seinfeld
- Ginger vs. MaryAnne Ginger - she had the better bod (high maintenance? yes - but who would care?)
- Snoop Dog vs. Barry Manilow Snoop - no contest
- Microsoft vs. Linux Depends on what you want
- Less filling vs. Tastes great Wouldn't know
- Schlitz vs. Pabst See above
- Disco vs. Polka (a wash in my opinion) - still my opinion
And Samantha over Jeanie - I thought Samantha was always the better looking one anyway - despite the radical outfit. The dumb blond thing never did it for me. Although...the "master" thing wouldn't be a bad thing.....and there is the funky Mother-in-law...
I'd better give this a little more thought.

How come no ones asked the question. . . Gilligan or the Professor? Obviously this string needs more estrogen.

Woopitup,
I am glad to see you are not affected by Mr. Thirstin Howell III's money
Is it the proffessors brain you like

Not to mention that Mr. Howell had MRS. Howell [who I think could take me one-on-one so I wouldn't want to mess with that]. Yes, the proffessor . . . he was quite sexy in his little brainy way [however, I believe in real-life he swings another way

: ] I'm not even going to mention the Jungle Boy that they would have on the show periodically :rollH:

I heard that Gilligan's Island was intended to be like a male fantasy. Think about it, basically a bunch of losers: Professor (nerd), Gilligan (incompetent), Skipper (overweight and not to bright) trapped on an island with the ultimate girl next door and the beautiful actress type. Throw in the Howell's for the money factor and you have everything a guy could want.

Hmm, what shows where out there that could have been viewed as "woman fantasy" shows? NONE! Which just goes to show you just who [during that time at least] dominated the views that "we the people" where exposed too. I dream of jeannie who was a servant to her MASTER. Bewitched, who was a stay-at-home wife/mom who was always terrified of upsetting her husband and would never consider not having dinner ready and waiting for him when he comes home.
Ow yes, not like today, we've come so far. . . now we have shows like, Fear Factor, Six Feet Under, Bachelor, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, Joe millionaire and many more just as wonderful shows

AND where am I going with this ??? I have no idea

I for one am glad that I spend most of my day outdoors and not in the confines of living room strapped to my lazy-boy recliner [not that that's a bad thing] viewing this seasons interpretation of the world.
Deep thoughts, , , [not] by Woopitup
