I called for a reservation in Dec. 2001 and got lucky for an opening, May 20. Due to circumstances in my life. I will not be able to do this trip.
Rather than just cancel. I would gladly sell it, no profit, to anyone
in HAZ. If interested, contact me......Kevin

I am big time happy for you. We often call mid winter especially right after a snow storm and get same day accomodations-nice place to be when you don't want to camp out.

Thanks, MP! What would you suggest for a good day hike on Tuesday on the Canyon floor; maybe 5 or 6 miles, moderately strenuous? Or just maybe roam?

Hoolie, for your Tuesday hike, I'd suggest you head up the North Kaibab through the box for a few miles. You could go as far as Ribbon Falls if you have time. It's 6 miles from the Ranch, but an easy six.
Have a great time!

Ribbon falls is nice. If it is hot you might like to go up the bottom of Phantom Creek a ways. Might get your feet wet.

Of course, that'll mean two whole days without all you folks here at HAZ and I'm sure I'll spend most of my time in the Canyon wishing I was here with you instead.....
Yeah, Right!

Off early tomorrow a.m. for the GC and two days at Phantom Ranch; back home Thursday. Y'all behave while I'm gone! Of course Teva Joe, aka Bandit Joe (
"Bandit" Joe....yeah, right! ) : will, by then, have an insurmountable lead in number of posts, but that's OK...gotta give the young kids a break now and then!
