I want to go do this in the morning..
I have a few questions.
I have a saturn and a dodge ram 2500 4x4.. which do I need? the weather is supposed to be sunny and 72 in cottonwood. how does that relate to the trail? will it be wormer or colder? wanting to know if I should wear pants or can I get away with shorts?
any other comments are welcome.

I haven't been in years but if I remember correctly a car can make it. I think it's real washboard and torn up the last part but nothing worse then Schnebly Hill road, just go slow.
The morning temps may be a little cooler down in the canyon. But it sounds pretty ideal to me and I'd hit it up in shorts myself!
The real question at hand is the water too cold for a dip. I'd say it'd be too brisk to enjoy in early May.

this was a great hike.. the weather was perfect.
the only bad thing is..lots of the trail has been washed away with the heavy rains.. there are a lot of trees that have been knocked over..
so actually finding the trail is kind of hard.

I will upload some pictures soon
