Are the forks of the river along each trail easily accessible for the majority of the hike? I'm wondering how much water to take. I've never been there, obviously, so I don't know if the streams are canyon-like. I'd like to be able to carry a minimal amount of water and then mosey down to the river now and again to filter more.
Thanks for your help.

I"ve always done Mt. Baldy as a day hike so just take what you'll need for the day. Assuming a counter clock wise trip starting at the north TH (I never remember the names): the trail follows the Little Colorado River for few miles, then climbs to the Saddle. If you come back the other trail, there is little or no water on that till just about the end. And if you do the three mile trip back to the north TH, theres no water on that, except that it's probably going to rain during the summer, always does when I do it.
