FR203 - Cherry Creek Road open beyond Devil's Chasm?

Know the road was blocked earlier this summer at Devil's Chasm because of an archeological dig at Pueblo Canyon and Cold Spring Canyon.

Does any one know if it open yet?

Just spent this past weekend camping and hiking beyond Devil's Chasm. Campsite was based at Pottery Point. Can confirm that FR203 is no longer blocked off by the Forest Service at Devil's Chasm. The passage is as rutted as ever! Bring a tow rope just incase...

Did you stop and check out Coon Creek ? The forest service barricade may have been removed by other folks then by the forest service

Didn't stop myself. Think a couple of other hikers in our group were talking about visiting Coon Creek Ruins Sunday afternoon. I'll check...

The streamside hike along Coon Creek from the Cherry Creek Road crossing to the Slat River is pretty cool. Several ruins along /in the Coon Creek drainage. The are probably going to the one also called Hematite House
