We are planning a trip to the Tucson area in mid January and was wondering if anyone could recommend a hike that was moderate in level with mild temperatures (no snow). Thanks.

I'd add Kings Canyon to Wasson Peak, back via Sendero Esperanza.
Romero Canyon--to pools or beyond
Madera Canyon in the nearby Santa Ritas.

blackett's ridge in sabino canyon is a short rewarding hike, also mnt. wrightson in madera canyon a bit longer hike but, it takes you to 9400' a great hike.

Thanks all for the advise on Hikes in January. We are leaving for the Tucson area from wintery Cleveland on Wednesday and will leave the following Monday. The hikes listed provide us with more than enough options for our short stay. I will post a few when we get back home. Thanks again!

I agree Blacketts is a nice, short but great hike. Bear Canyon to Seven Falls and much of anything in Sabino Canyon would be perfect for this time of year.
Would recommend Madera Canyon too but many of the trails to Mt. Wrightson are still closed due to the fire last summer. Check the Coronado National Forest link here:
