Hi! I want to start taking my kids hiking with me. They are small, ages 7, 5, and 1. I will need a trail that won't wear my older two out so much that I have to carry them home. I would like to hear of any that may be suitable for the stroller, too, if anyone knows of any. I am in the greater-phoenix area and until they are better used to hiking would like to stay in town or nearby. Thanks!

click the above tab "hike indexes" and scroll down to "skill level".
you will find hikes for beginners or children. Dont know about strollers, maybe invest in a child carrier backpack. Deuter makes the best for a low price.

thanks!

Good introduction would be the Gilbert Riparian Preserve, close and has a paved walk way for strollers. Also recommend Boyce Thompson Arboretum west of Superior. Woods Canyon Lake east of Payson also has a paved hiking trail from the campgrounds to the Rim overlook.
