I'm looking to backpack in Saturday night 4/8 in Rogers Canyon, but don't want to bring any excess water. I haven't been in there for about 12 years, and last I remember was that the creek was flowing. However, that was well before our current drought.

How has this spring's freak snowfall in March and recent rain affect the stream? If Rogers is dry, would it be better up Reavis Ranch way, where I understand there is a permanent spring/creek? (I've never been up there).

I was ther last Sunday and there was plenty of water filter, however the trail was almost impassable in some spots due to broken branches from the snow.

You are correct... Reavis is permanent.

I have not been to Rogers' since the snow/rain, so the spring just upstream of the ruin may have recharged.
For certain water nearby - from Angel Basin, if you head down the Frog Tanks Trail to its intersection with Fish Creek, there is a (running) spring about 5 minutes downstream of that intersection. Yes, it's about 2 mi. +/- each way, but it's a nice, scenic trail. If you might want to camp nearby to that water, there is a small 1-2 person camp about 2 minutes UP Frog Tanks towards Angel Basin from its intersection with Fish.

there was a trickle of water at Angels Basin and in Rogers. I would think you can still find good filterable water there. There was still snow patching Iron mountain and in spots on the other northern slopes.
I was there the same w/e as the Desertboots gal.
