I never got to hike Tom Thumb before the fire(I mostly go North or South+ get outahere). Has the area regrown? It must be a great view(on a clear day)! Heard that Horeshoe lake is drying also+ neighbor just returned from Alberquerque+said that water rationing has been started. (Never could spell that right!) :roll:

It's tricky to get to the ridge/saddle area, and it's hard to follow a written description of how to get there. All the boulders look alike after a while!!
