Sunday/Monday hikes, daytrips

I have lost my hiking buddy; 
she moved to Ca. 2 years ago and have not found anyone else with these days off; unfortunately most of the trips are on Fri., Sat., and working days for me (unless I have advance notice; really miss those Monday out of the valley jaunts; just don't feel safe going it alone these days. Not a spring chicken, but still like truckin". (Don't do well in the valley heat,ozone, etc; live in the gym in summer,unless I go North!)
