road is in good shape and passable with good tires with any car. only area of concern is a steep hill (the one with a tight left turn at the bottom), and then a rocky area a short distance past that hill. Dont do it after a good rain in a POS and you'll be fine.

I looked this up on the ABC list--it's not there! Just out of curiosity, where is it?

Miles is a trailhead not a hike.
I'll consider adding trailheads to the abc list.
pretty much any car can make it
it's a long drive
keep the momentum on the hill Mike mentions

Take US 60 east of Superior apx. 10 miles. Turn left (north) on Forest Route 287 (well maintained road which is also used as the access road to the mine complex) apx. 10 miles and turn left on Forest Route 287A apx. 6 miles to Miles Traihead. This road segment should require a high clearance vehcile and usually two wheel drive an make it. With the recent wether I would recommend a 4x4. Not much parking at Miles Trailhead.

In response to Nighthiker's reply:
I just wanted to add that the turn onto FR287 is a left turn off the 60 if you are heading east towards Globe. It is the first major left turn that you can take after crossing the bridge over Pinto Creek.
