Forest Road 300 near Woods Canyon Lake

My husband and I took a drive up on the Rim today (Sat 30) and the rim road from 260 both ways is still closed by Woods Canyon Lake. And the ground is super saturated with water. Someone was attempting to bypass the closed gate and was stuck up to the front bumper on their truck with the mud being so deep right there. We were saying that it served them right trying to go around the locked gate.
