I noticed that the Nature Conservancy offers guided nature walks every Sunday late May through October. I'm curious if anyone has been on one of these guided walks - where did you go? what did you see? best time for wildflowers? etc...

Summer Nature Walks
The Nature Conservancy offers free guided nature walks every Sunday from May 27 through mid-October. Meet at 10 a.m. at Fort Valley Plaza Shopping Center, 1000 N. Humphreys Street (meet at the southwest corner by the guardrail) and carpool to the preserve. Allow two to three hours for the round trip and easy walk. No reservations needed, but please be prompt, dress for the outdoors at 8500’ and bring your own drinking water. Sorry, we cannot allow pets at the preserve. Due to the rustic nature of the trail, it is not wheelchair or stroller accessible. More information: e-mail hartprairie@tnc.org.

Received a reply today from Neil Chapman at The Nature Conservancy...

Randal,
Post monsoon (mid August-September) is our best time for wildflowers.
Feel free to call me if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Neil
