posting photos old vs. new

I am new to the site and am totally head over heels in love with the whole concept. Can't believe I didn't know about this site until recently. I am posting a question about how irritating is it to others if I go back and trip-log my AZ life since 2003? I had my own log system for hikes/trips, but it pales in comparison to this website.

I can hide the trips so they don't pop up on the "new" list. But I like putting the photos out there and am fascinated by the ranking/viewing process. I've been torturing family and friends with these photos (who really don't care) for years, and it's nice to get feedback from others with similar interests.

Is it irritating to people for old photos to flash up on the "new" list when they're really not new? What about triplogs that are old - is it worth hiding them all to prevent flooding of the new list with all my old hikes?

whatcha got here is a little over a gazillion people, most of which that live and breath hiking in some form or another
be it straight up or with 4x4, backpacking, camping, climbing, bla bla bla ...a to z

you get what, one, two maybe three shots at the real joy in a month
the rest you're living it through the eyes of others, half of which are sneaking a peak from their work desk
sometimes learning what you want to do in the future or what not

I quote BStiller
"do it"
"do it"

"duit"

Hooray and welcome! I can't speak for everyone else, but I love seeing pics and reading triplogs, no matter when the hike was taken. Certainly wouldn't drive me crazy - and I'm diggin' some of the photos you've posted so far.

Thanks for the input! I have gobs and gobs of photos - I suspect like most people who enjoy this site. It takes much restraint not to over-post. I love looking at others' as well - it's fun to compare the same hike at different times of year. Or areas before/after a fire -- or before/after new pop up neighborhoods are built.
