CK1, thanks for posting this event to the calendar! Mrs Mike & I are planning to attend 6/4 at the PV REI. If any other HAZ members are interested, maybe we can meet for a bite before or after. Blue Burrito, anyone?

Where's the BLUE Burrito? And what time for dinner?

It's on the north side of Cactus, just west of Tatum (on the perimeter of PV Mall). From your side of town, you can take the 101 east to Tatum, take a right on Tatum and go south about 5 miles to Cactus, turn right on Cactus, then take the first right into the mall perimeter area, the BB is right there as you turn in. How's 5:30?

evenstarx3, Patches, Randy, Mrs Mike and I will be meeting at 5:30 pm tomorrow, at the Blue Burrito Grill on the nw corner of Cactus and Tatum, near PV Mall. We'd love to have more HAZ folks join us, so come on! Afterwards, we're heading to REI just down the street for the "Sweet Light in NavajoLand" presentation, ck1 will be joining us there.

Why yes as a matter of fact we are a great bunch of people.
ck1, glad we met with her approval. We were of course on best behavior, so expect Hooli to be back to his usual shenanigans at the chili shindig. It was nice to meet ck1 and Patty. Patches, it was a pleasure meeting you too. Mike and Mrs Mike, pleasure as always, and I'm talking with Randy like I see him all the time too!
I hope to see all of ya'll at the chili shindig.

It was great. Most of the places this guy has taken photos of were already on my dream list, the ones that I'd not heard of have been added!! I only wish I could afford one of his prints!! Wow!!

For those who weren't able to attend tonight, or can't go tomorrow, you can check out some of what we saw at Mr. DeJolie's website,
http://www.dejolie.com/.

I posted a minute ago that that it would be a dream to do what LeRoy DeJolie has chosen as a career. I would love to go on one of his workshops just to go to the places he described tonight. Then the board burped and I lost it. So this will have to do.
If you can make the Tempe location tomorrow, I would suggest you attend. Get close if you can, he's very soft spoken.

Try alt-left arrow next time that happens. You should get the form back with your post intact. It's happened a few times to me lately, as well.
I found another site with some of DeJolie's work,
http://www.imagesofarizona.com/dejolie/ ... aphy.shtml. I'm still going through my Google results, so there may be more!

Shenanigans??? Me? Never! I am always the definitive example of gentlemanly behavior as evidenced by my new HAZ handle!

The presentation was enjoyable...he is very soft spoken, which made it harder to hear. His images are amazing! I wish my pictures came out like that...Mike and I figured the main difference between DeJoile and us is that we use cameras where you look thru the viewfinder and push the button. He gauges light and shutter speeds and all sorts of stuff that when he started talking about it, I was lost. I had no clue.
Real photographers would love to see this guy.
