Im looking at a nice 18 mile loop in the Supes, starting at the Tortilla trailhead and going counter-clockwise over the top of Peter's Mesa with an overnight stay at Whiskey spring, a good water source. Then backtracking over to Red tanks and Hoolie Bacon trails back to the truck. several water sources along the way.

Tewa - Go through Trap Canyon and this time and find the trap to see what's down inside. I've gone over it many times but never had a bright enough flashlite to make out what may have fallen and been trapped there. Also get a picture of your group on Golf Tee rock. Spend the first night in the overhang at the west end of the trap. Great place for shelter in foul weather. Just don't get caught there during a big rain or you'll be there awhile until the canyon drains.

nonot and I have been to trap canyon, not much to see. there is nothing inside. (no bones at least!)
will prolly check herman's cave. i personally dont think trap canyon is worth the effort since it is a bushwhack in thick mimosa.

If time permits, I want to do a couple detours on the way in...would it be disastrous if we only made it to Charlesbois the first day?
