Bear warning

With the lack of rain the bears are looking for other sources of food and water.
The Forest Service has issued a BEAR WARNING in the national forests for this summer. They're urging everyone to protect themselves by wearing bells and carrying pepper spray.
Hikers should be alert for signs of fresh bear activity, and they should be able to tell the difference between Black Bear dung and Grizzly Bear dung.
Black Bear dung is rather small and round. Sometimes you can see fruit seeds and/or squirrel fur in it.
Grizzly Bear dung has bells in it, and smells like pepper spray!

Why?? Cause the effective range of the spray is 15 feet......
That's why Mike likes to hike with me. He doesn't have to outrun the bear, just me....

Besides, it's well known that bears prefer a finely aged, well-marbled cut...

Throw the steak at Randy and run
This is good stuff, how to really save your butt in a crisis!

I say we just spray Randy and run. That way he might not run too far and toughen up the meat for the poor starved bear. It might also make him taste better.

Look at the time of post - Joe was probably low on blood sugar, dreaming of a big juicy mesquite grilled steak.
I would hate to think that he was thinking of Randy as a steak.
I AM the steak

Why not??? The Bear was!
At least I'd not be wasted, but I draw the line at packing my own Garlic Salt and Worchestershire -- for the bear or Olesma

One evening, when I was at yellowstone walking Bo, somebody asked me if Bo was Bear Bait. I said "Hell No! Bo can run a lot faster than I can and that makes ME the bear bait!"
