Sedona Area Day Hikes

My family and I (ages 5, 8, 37 and 40) travel to Sedona once per year and we really enjoy hiking among other things. We have done the following hikes and we are now looking to venture out to find some other cool things to do.
1. Soldier Pass to the seven pools and the sink hole.
2. Fay Canyon
3. Both of the well visited Indian Ruins
4. Robber's Roost
5. Doe Mountian
6. Merry-go-round and I think Mushroom Rock
7. About 3 miles into the West Fork
8. Coffee pot
9. Cathedral Rock
10. Several of the hikes around Red Rock State park (I hate paying to go there only once per year)
11. Van Deren Cabin
12. Voltee Arch
13. One of the cinder cones outside of Flag Staff too
14. I forget the name but it was a State Park with a nat bridge--Tonto Nat Bridge maybe--it was way cool!

Some of these hikes were combined with a jeep rental from Farabee's (which IMO is the best thing to do rather than pay more for less if you want to rent a jeep). With the jeep we were able to get to places such as Rattle Snake Tank-Canyon, House Mountian, Smiley Rock amongst other areas.

Our last trip we rented inflattable kayaks and did about a four mile stretch on the Verde River which was enjoyable as well as drove to Williams and took the train into the GC for the day.

We are looking for other areas that are not as well traveled yet worth the effort but they must be doable by smaller children (the longest hike is about 7 miles before the complaining becomes too much). I would appreciate any and all information and any links too. Thanks again.

If you go to Sedona every year you've got to do the West Fork of Oak Creek at least once. It's one of the most beautiful hikes in the state, in my opinion. Keep in mind a Red Rock Pass doesn't cover the cost of parking, unless you park a half mile or so away from the trailhead on the road. You pay to park at the entrance to the parking lot.

Here's my favorites not on your list
Boynton Canyon
Dry Creek Trail
Wilson Moutain (north variation preferred)

if you're renting a jeep then
Munds Mountain is a must do

Wilson and Munds are too hot May-Sept

Here's one Sedona map

here's another

Also there's no need to go to Red Rock State Park, it's a trick for tourist. Go to the other side as mentioned in
Red Rock Crossing

The two best hikes in that whole area are: Boynton Canyon and West Fork!
