The Mogollon Rim is experiencing a nice wet snowfall this morning, with 3-6 inches in the forecast for 7000 feet and up today.

This storm will hopefully knock down the fire danger for a couple of weeks more.

(Keep in mind that fire restrictions are in effect for areas below the rim on the Tonto, Prescott, and Red Rock District of Coconino National Forests, in addition to state parks)

I had 4 inches of heavy wet snow on my car this morning. Everything is nice and wet. The south Rim is reporting 66/100ths of precipitation, and Flag has had at least 34/100ths.

I wouldn't rule out an error, but the snow station in the Inner Basin is reporting 14 inches of new snow!

There was snow above 8000 feet in southern AZ this afternoon. The Pinalenos got a fresh coating, anyway.
