I have an old 1973 REI Red external frame pack that is free for the taking. It was good for me for 10 years, but isn't worth keeping now that I have a new pack. If you are interested, PM me.

Maybe you should just get a "Historic" license plate for it or have it bronzed and hang it for display and conversation in your living room. :GB:
