What are people doing this weekend?

Unless I can get a ride down to the trailhead for the Verde Hot Springs (anyone, anyone??) the weather up here in train-horn-land looks lousy. With the wind Sedona won't even be very nice. I don't know what I will do.
What are people doing this weekend? Or, is this the first weekend after many other weekends that people have been looking forward to so they can finally get out and hike in the desert without oppressive heat?

Are you implying that it gets a little blue?

Heading to Sedona looking for some color. Wind shouldn't be too perilous down there, especially compared to the Painted Desert (80mph gusts there!)...glad that trip's been postponed.

I'm at Hart Prairie with VOAz. It's eleven pm, the moon is bright, there's a cloud bank above the mountain picking up the moonlite, the prairie is visible by the light, the wind is blowing, I'm told there is color in the aspens but still some green. I can go to bed when the bread is done. We'll cut and haul all day tomorrow, and Sunday AM.

I went to 24 Hours of Moab mountain bike race to do first aid. This is a very big race with 350 teams. It was a blast, although the weather could have been better. It was windy and chilly. Forecast had been for rain, so we did luck out--it didn't rain. We camped out at the part of the course called Prostitute Butte for two nights. It was gorgeous. We could see the La Sals right over there, with a little snow on their peaks, and lots of beautiful round rock formations everywhere.
Utah is just too incredible!

So is access to Verde Hot Springs not closed down along with Fossil Springs? Has anyone been out there lately?
Also, is there any access to camping out there? I'm assuming the campground a mile away is at Fossil Springs and is closed?

Access to the Verde hot springs is on a different side of the road than fossil springs. Don't know about the campground, check the FS page. The hot springs should be open, since they won't be impacted by the removal of the flume from the dam at Fossil springs.
