Any hikes open near Payson?

We are fairly new to the hiking scene and were going to Hon-Dah for the weekend to relax and do some hiking. Our reservations were cancelled for some unknown reason 
. We would like to try and find another northern location to go and stay and hike. Can anyone tell me of any trails that are still open around the Payson/Camp Verde area? Maybe some of you have been up there real recently and can suggest a place to go. We're not familiar with all that is closed. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!
P.S. We really enjoy this site and would have loved to come to the Chili shindig, but are not able!
