Okay so I had already asked this weekend off for another trip, but since te-wa canceled on West Boulder Canyon... Im thinking that this saturday would be perfect to tackle the Ridgeline. One that I've wanted to do for a while...
Who's up for this?

Man I have really been wanting to try the ridgeline hike for a while. Now that I have my backpacking gear I need to schedule this for soon no doubt.

What? No loop hike?

I've used The Crosscut trail and either Carney Spring or Lost Goldmine.
There are a few options. If Tortoise Hiker is in I hear he has a pass for Lost Dutchman. ;)

If my wife isn't teaching that day, I might do it. I haven't done that whole thing in almost 6 years.

Its cool te-wa, have fun! The Ridgeline has been on my to do list for a while anyway, so this is the perfect opportunity.
You will finally be able to check a bear off your list too!!

Do you know what time you'd like to start? I've brought this hike up to a few people and they always ask that.

Not TOO early as I need my beauty sleep. Maybe between 6-8 am.
Wally your the ridgeline expert. What time would you think would be best? I guess that really depends how long it will take us. Would 8-10 hours be an accurate estimate?

8-10 hours would be about right for time so we should start hiking by 8:00a. Figure about an hour to set up the shuttle from the meeting place.

I have a State Park Pass and can leave my car at the Flatiron end of the hike. It's a Ford Focus. We should be able to fit five in it.If we meet out that way somewhere we could drop some of you off at your cars and just take the person back to the Peralta end that needs to get there car. What ever works for everyone is fine with me.

Is there somewhere to park right off Idaho Road as we head to Lost Dutch? We could meet somewhere in that area.

There is a gas station by the freeway but I think there is a walgreens and a Quick Trip at Apache & Idaho then I could just take Apache and take the other driver back to Peralta.I'm sure there are more spots but I can't think of them.
