Las Vegas, NV lights

Last night I started off of Agassiz Peak at 6pm and while it wasn't quite dark it was pretty close to it. I don't know if there is anything else in the direction of Las Vegas that would be large enough to produce a light pool so large, but I assume there is not. Therefore, I am 99% sure I was able to see the light pool from Las Vegas, NV some 200 miles away from it.

I could not see anything that I could say was Phoenix's light pool. I have seen Phoenix's dust/pollution cloud on really clear days last winter while on Humphrey, but last night I think the lights from Flagstaff and the 2 valleys south of the Rim overshadowed the Phoenix light. Flagstaff looks pretty cool at night. I think I will put up one of the blurry pics I took of her.

The light had to come from either Las Vegas or Kingman.
Not sure what night you're referring to, but if it was Friday then the light you saw was me getting lit up at the blackjack tables. If it was on Saturday then that was our tailgate at the Las Vegas Bowl.

I've seen the Vegas light at over 100 miles from the desert floor, so I wouldn't be surprised at much longer ranges from altitude.

Can always see them from the Paria Plateau. On very clear, still nights you can faintly make out the Luxor beam.

Wow, thats disturbing. There's a city that has no concept of not living in excess. When will they blow up that s--- hole?

I just passed through Vegas on the way back from Whitney. It was my first time and I hated it there. I never want to go near it again.
