I'm itching to climb these two peaks, but I don't know what the roads like for either one, anyone know what the conditions are like on these two roads? Could a passenger car make it to either trailhead?
Thanks

You can do both. Table Top for sure. Personally I'd stay out of that area at night though, funky stuff goes on out there in the smuggling corridor. Quartz would be of some concern as it's sandy in sections. If you're smart and keep your momentum it's possible. A standard pickup with some clearance would be more optimal. You can also hit it from the east but it's frowned upon (illegal).

Been wanting to do Quartz myself. If it's a time when I'm free I wouldn't mind going with. Table Top sounds interesting, hadn't read that writeup before

I'm normally pretty open to taking my car places, but I wouldn't go to either of them in a passenger car. Quartz I did a few years back but I had a buddy in a Tahoe that went a few months ago, he said there were some nice dips now.

Table top I wouldn't do either, partly because if you do get stuck, who is going to get you out?

Is there anyone (with a trailhead capable vehicle) that would be interested in tackling Table Top with a couple of HAZ members (who don't have trailhead capable vehicles)? Perhaps on a Monday in April?
