Hi Im looking for gps coords for the tonto section from south bass
towards about Slate canyon. Ive been out near Agate and the
trail gets very sketchy there so would be able to move faster
(less risk of running out of water) if I had gps coords. 'Hikebot'
has posted the route but the gps coords are not available. Thanks
for any info, Rob

I am not familiar with 'Hikebot' and I could be confused here, but isn't the GPS Route/Track that is on 'Hikebot' made-up of the needed GPS waypoint coordinates you are looking for? Is it just that you don't have a way (a software program) to load this 'Hikebot' Route on your computer so you can view the actual waypoint coordinates? :-k

Or, likely GPSJoe will see this post & have the track, as we hiked this section a few years ago.
I just completed the Gems as part of a Royal Arch to Hermit trip - & the Tonto is pretty well-defined throughout. The Tonto through the Gems gets a lot of use (considering) in March, so it gets trampled pretty well.

LANGLADE, Wis. -- A motorist relying on a GPS navigation unit found out the hard way that technology is not always the answer.
Sheriff's officials said a woman was driving when the best routing from the GPS sent her onto a road that forked into a snowmobile trail. Several miles down the frozen path she stopped and couldn't turn around in about a foot and a half of snow surrounding the car. She called 911 at 10:44 a.m.

Deputy Keith Svoboda said it took a while to find her and much longer to get heavy equipment in to free the vehicle. Deputies dropped her at a motel for the night.
Svoboda said the lesson is, "People shouldn't believe everything those things tell you."

Thanks the page http://hikearizona.com/location_g.php?GPS=1061 says:

"Routes by HAZ Hikebot are not available for download as they are not field data"
So I cant figure out how to get to them. Ill check out your other suggestions too.
Maybe it's not as bad as I remember, Im just being careful since my son is
coming too.

This "may" help. If you change from terrain to mytopo, you will see the Long/lat in upper right of screen(they are there regardless of selection). It is the cords at the red cross. Scroll the trail (panning left right up/down) over the red cross and you will have the cords for different spots not exact but may help. I've used this to get rough cords. Also, you may need to play with zoom level.
