With the blizzard on route I'd like to get out onto one of my favorites rarely an option in August. The forecast on Fri & Sat for that area is 81 degrees. Even with that voodoo forecasting I'm counting on ten degrees warmer. Beware as it will likely be more humid than most are accustom to this time of year. I suspect it'll be breezy though and be pretty nice, if lucky stormy

Can't join you but a little known secret about Reavis that you can check out. From the house and corral site, hike east across the stream and up the hill to the little mesa that overlooks the ranch site. There you will find the remains of an indian village including a rock wall. If PageRob reads this post he may join you as well just to check it out.

Also take along about a two to two and a half foot section of pvc pipe to shove up into the spring so you can fill your water bottles without having to grovel in the mud. Place some rocks and mud around it to build up the pressure and viola you will have a nice place with some height for the pipe to fill those water bottles. Leave it in place for others to see and refresh their supply as well.

Which trail are you hiking in on? Beware of the dead horse if your coming in from Rogers Through. :yuck:
