Mtn. Biking Sedona (Without dying)

When winter hits Flag, I usually prefer taking day trips down to Sedona to get out of the cold. I recently picked up my mountain bike again, so I wouldn't mind biking some trails in Sedona this upcoming winter. I'm a beginner mountain biker and my bike is pretty basic (GT Outpost Trail hardtail, rigid front fork), so I need some tips on some good single-track rides that aren't gonna kill me. Any suggestions?

Start with Cosmic Ray's Fat Tire Tales and Trails. One of the best books out there. You can pick it up at virtually any bike shop...

Broken Arrow, Little Horse, Marg and the others in that vicinity are low key fun. Since you're in Flag the Sycamore Rim Loop is near.
Personally I prefer Payson for mountain biking.
This book is the equivalent to Carlson's "Hiker's Guide"

Some of the forest roads are good for mtn. biking for new riders or riders who prefer not to do anything hard or extreme and not to much traffic during the week.
