Hi All - wondering where the best bet to still catch some fall colors this weekend (November 8th) would be?
Thanks,
Bryan

Hey Bryan-
There's a foliage report right on the home page. Lower right corner.
Looks like you'd want to stay on trails with elevations below 5,000 feet. Higher locations have passed their peak.
Coconino NF also has a fall colors page, and hotline you can call for local reports.

After searching the forum for previous threads on Fall Colors, I found a link to foliage by date, which would be a good resource, except it doesn't seem to have any hikes linked to it anymore. Joe?

Works for me, shows Miller and Parson right now.

Though it's a little old so I don't know what other browsers/setups are displaying.
Here's the map (2.68 billion times better than fs.fed)

Bassett Peak is the main attraction for the next week.

The list doesn't populate for me in either Safari of Firefox. Strange.

The list looks like it's for Nevada (the NV on the right side), which would probably explain why nothing is showing up.

Leaves pretty much all done up here. Might be a few here and there, but the peak was in October. Plus, it is nasty up here right now with the smoke.

I guess I should spend a little more time using the tools on the site! Parson's has been on my wish list, so I think that's the trip!
Thanks again!

There will be lingering color in pockets but you are two full weeks past the peak for those areas. Go south it'll blow your mind

I've never been that far out, looks to be a full day trip. However by process of common facts the trailhead is at 5,200 ft. Maples generally live below 7,000 ft. According to the description 1.6 miles in is Maple Camp...

Eye popping color in Ash Creek Nov 7-8 but the aspens have already dropped all their leaves and the maples are fast fading.

I am planning on doing either bassett peak or south fork of cave creek this wednesday. There is only a 1/2hr drive difference. Which one would you guys suggest is better?
