North Kaibab Trail re-opens....

The North Kaibab Trail, which had been temporarily closed due to a waterline break, has re-opened. Waterflow in the pipe has been decreased to slow the rate of erosion, and some basic trail maintenance has been done improving trail conditions. Hikers should be aware that in the affected area--just below the fourth bridge, approximately three miles north of Phantom Ranch, passage is currently limited to a six-inch wide swathe of step stones on the wall side of the trail. Hikers should approach this area with caution, assessing trail conditions when they arrive. If they are uncomfortable with what they see, hikers are encouraged to return to Phantom Ranch.

At least it's on the wall side.
