Rogers Canyon access

Howdy all, new to the site and hiking in general. My hiking cohort and I have been hiking the book "Ruins seldom seen" (awsome by the way). We are planning on the Rogers Canyon hike on Sat. My question is access, we will be comming in from the 60, and I've seen mixed reviews on the last 4 miles, whether it's a 4 by 4 road or can my 2x2 Ranger get us there. Anyone been that way since the "rains".

Thanks

:welcome:
I suggest you post a comment to HAZ- bart01 and ask him via his most recent triplog to Rogers Canyon.. http://hikearizona.com/TL.php?ID=49160
He should see your triplog comment and reply back.

I would definately suggest a 4x4 comming from the south. After stopping in a few areas to fill in some gulleys and a lot of slipping and sliding going up some of the hills we made it. :y: I'm beginning to think I need to find some 4x4 friends.

Anyone been up to Rogers Trough lately? How's the road?

I've been to the Roger's Trough TH several times and I would definitely suggest a 4x4 vehicle. The roads are pretty rough, and if they've got worse since the rains, I would highly recommend it. Friends and I are heading up that way in March and they're riding with us (4x4 ranger) because they don't want to take their 2x2. I'm sure you could make it, but high clearance 4x4 is recommended by me.
