Talked about coal to reluctant kids today while my coworker plots to hit the canyons on the UT/CO border all weekend until Monday. Jealousy.

It was fantastic today. I got up on Humphrey, skipped Agassiz due to time limits, and had great conditions. I'll post a TR with pics when I get the chance. The snow is fantastic.

Cold up here, but supposed to be in the 40s tomorrow. Some folks from ABC are supposed to meet me (not listed as a meetup) for xc ski lesson tomorrow, but it is going to be awfully warm. Mushy, sticky snow. I will bring the silicon spray along. High of 46 is too warm. We'll keep to the thick woods, stay out of the sunny areas. We had a snowstorm a couple nights ago, and there is still a LOT of snow up there, at least 4 feet at Pole Knoll, I think.

I imagine it will be a crankin' weekend on the Salt as well. I was invited on a private raft trip last weekend, but couldn't make it. Dang it. Life is short, ya know?

Yea, good day for it!!

It was a gorgeous day! I took a work friend to Gateway trailhead and we walked around the surrounding area. Brought a little picnic and went back home. There were lots and lots of people there today -- plenty of kids too - out of school for President's day.

I got busy and didn't get out skiing or biking today! It was warm weather even up here! I think it may have almost made it to 50 degrees in the sun!

Spent the afternoon getting a new computer and a camera. Now when I can figure out these new toys I'll be able to do some tracks and photos. But I'm going out this morning so all is not lost.

ak! Trapped inside, with only a narrow view of the bldg. next door and the incredible blue sky above... AK! AK!

Weekend mantra is going...

I know, it's painful. It's shaping up to be another great afternoon of weather down here today, too!!

I went XC skiing on Sunday. It was the best I've felt in months.

This one is looking nice, too...I'll have to try it out! ;)

I can't believe I went for a short bike ride at noon. The reason I can't believe it is because when I got done with my afternoon bus run at 4 it had become very cold and windy! Hope we get some snow, because our xc ski areas are becoming icy now.
