Cameras change in some ways and not others with lightning speed these days. Olympus and Fuji have announced two cameras with 30X zoom, Fuji has 24 and Olympus 28 on the wide end. Small sensors, though and of course with that much zoom better plan on carrying a tripod or a grip on top of your trekking pole. Look for the Fuji around April, not sure about the Oly but prolly around the same time frame.

I wasn't too impressed with the round of Canon 20x. I forget which camera it was, I only had it for a week. Great otherwise.

Recently made the jump from superzoom to digital SLR. Although I thoroughly enjoyed my first two superzooms, I seriously doubt I will ever go back.
