Had my Jeep parked there over the weekend while we were out on the Dripping Springs Loop. Came back to it this afternoon with the drivers side door all scratched up and the weather stripping on the window cut up. Just wanted to let everyone know, watch out and keep the stuff in the car hidden. Nothing is missing and all the doors were locked when we arrived back at the car so I'm gonna say it was a failed attempt at breaking in. Damn them!

Usually don't they just heave a big rock through the window?
Did you have something someone would have wanted in view?
I have a very battered '78 Blazer--probably what people were thinking of when they were talking about a "trailhead beater!" I have also heard that leaving it unlocked may help. It could also just make it easier to steal the whole car.
I'm tellin' ya: snipers! We need snipers!

Tool box and Hilift jack were the only things in site, in the back of my Jeep. The rest was a change of clothes wedged under the seat, but couldn't been seen.

I hate to hear of these problems. After a day or more of hiking the last thing desired is to get back to the vehicle and have it damaged or even worse unusable. Sorry to hear of the problem.
