Topo and I need to start training for our July MONSTER HIKE....so we need to start logging miles. We are going to hit up Reavis Ranch for one night, April 10th. We will go in from the trail head just north of Tortilla Flats. It's going to be a basic overnight, nothing fancy....just logging miles. I have room for 2 or 3 other people if anyone wants to tag along.

Whenever....I am flexible. Just as long as we get there before dark...actually that's even flexible :)

I will be back as early as I can on Sunday.

You can't go though...I was planning on wearing your pants. HA HA HA!!! I kid....

UPDATE! I just noticed that this was scheduled for Easter Weekend (that didn't go over well with the wife). I have switched this and the Marsh Valley Loop dayhike to accomodate the holiday weekend plans.

would you be down for a late start on saturday? like after 2 PM (when I get off work)? I could meet you in AJ. I mean that is a fairly straightforward trail, so hiking after dark shouldnt be a problem, we just have to watch out for Farnsworth.

Alex, if nobody else signs up, I'll hoof it in after dark no problem. Might be kind of nice actually. Let's see if anyone else signs up for this one though, if they do I will stick with the AM start.

I think if I join a group hike next weekend it'll be Stiller's cottonwood-skull mesa loop. Leaves Saturday night open and such. If you're really just doing it for the miles you might consider hopping in on that one, its new territory.

I have 4 people signed up from ABC...so I'm committed now. I logged 22 miles this weekend....so I need a light weekend!

It looks like my car is going to be full, but there is PLENTY of room at Reavis. Hopefuly there will he another volunteer to drive up there. Just show up at the meeting point and be ready to go. I would think between 5 or 6 people there should be two willing to drive (me and someone else).

Im gonna have to make it on one of your excursions soon, its been far too long since Ive had time to get out in the backcountry....

The 2 from ABC, do you know them? I just ask because the way Mike portrayed some of them, it seems that this MIGHT be a big trip for them, or are you looking for another newb to laugh at??

It can't be as bad as that dude Steve...unless they show up with luggage like he did. I have no idea who those two are, but I can walk slow...I'm cool with that. I am planning on setting up camp and then hiking up to the saddle between the Ranch and Roger's Canyon...maybe a little trail run back. It's going to be relaxing, no matter how new they are.

Come join us.

I take it back, I know Angelo...and he can hang for sure. I don't know the Jason Miles dude, but he looks like someone that could run to Reavis and back with me on his back...I'm not worried.
