CANCELLED! WIth just Alex signed up....him and I both might as well go do the Te-Wa hike through Haunted Canyon. I have another something planned for next weekend!

I put myself in the maybe list, this is one of my favorite overnights! Been wanting to explore music canyon for some time, and find that darn peralta master map thats suppose to be by Charlebois!

how early afternoon are we talking? I work 11-2 on Saturdays in AJ. If you guys cant wait for me Im sure I'll end up catching you on the trail (unless you are hiking the speed you were that one rainy day on the JF trail).

I wasn't hiking on the JF Trail...I was sprinting. I am not sure when we will head out for this hike, as it's not that far. But I figure we will be on the trail around 10 am. You can easily catch up with us at camp though and hang out....maybe explore Music Canyon with Base871 if he comes along.

Alright, here are the details for the Charlebois hike.

We will start at Peralta TH, heading North on Bluff Spring Trail, then turning left onto Terrapin Trail through Needle Canyon turning left on Dutchman's Trail to Charlebois. If we leave early enough there will be time to explore Charlebois Canyon or Music Canyon that evening. I would like to return via La Barge Canyon, and back on Bluff Spring Trail. The one-way to Charlebois is 7.5 miles and the return trip is only 6.4 miles. This will make for a lolly pop out and back instead of a straight out and back on the same route. It will also allow me some scouting for a bigger loop hike I have planned that is nearly 30 miles yet uses part of this route.

I would like to see another hiker join me for the trip out there, but Topo and I can solo and wait for Rally_Toad to find camp a little later in the evening. Don't be shy...this should be a great trip!

You could come in from Peralta and take the shorter route into camp. At least then we would have company for the hike out.

True. I'll come in the quick way from Peralta. Should be a fun trip...

FYI....ABC is doing a backpacking trip to Charlebois the same weekend. Might be kinda crowded there.

I posted that on ABC. It's the same hike. We will make enough room if people sign up from ABC.

we got any ABC crew joining us? I'll probably just come in via the quick way, and leave the same way saturday with you. I'll bring your book too! Man I'm excited, its been 3 and a half months since I've been backpacking.
