Michael Wu is 25 years old and is described as 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing between 120 pounds and 150 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He may be wearing glasses.

Isaac Rabicoff and Michael Wu were visiting Grand Canyon National Park together and obtained a backcountry permit from the National Park Service to hike in the Royal Arch and South Bass areas beginning on March 16, 2010 and returning on March 20, 2010.

On March 22, 2010 a member of one of the men's families reported the two men missing after they failed to return to Kansas as planned.

I'm hoping that they started partying with a private rafting group and decided to float out instead of hiking out. I have been sorely tempted by such an offer in the past. I've partied with some raft groups and been invited along by a private group. I turned down the offer for various reasons - mostly because I'm old and wise - but I was definitely tempted when faced with the climb out at Nanko versus partying down the River. Royal Arch is a challenging hike, but I'm hoping for the best.

Two hikers from Leawood found safe in Grand Canyon

Two Leawood men who were feared to be missing in the south rim of the Grand Canyon National Park were found unharmed Tuesday afternoon.

Isaac Rabicoff and Michael Wu, both 25, had obtained a backcountry permit to hike in the Royal Arch and South Bass areas of the park starting March 16 and ending Saturday.

On Monday, when they did not return to Kansas as planned, a family member of one of the men reported the hikers missing.

A helicopter spotted the men quickly Tuesday afternoon on the route that they were supposed to have been on, said Robin Martin of the National Park Service.

The park service is investigating why the men were delayed.

I'm curious about why they were late, but happy regardless. :)
