Christopher Creek camping trip

Spent the past couple of days camping (popup) at Christopher Creek Campground. Wandered upstream from the campground and left to Christopher Creek Box. Parking alongside the road is Posted No Parking and a padlock was installed on the gate. While parked a deputy sheriff stopped and advised that I would receive a ticket as the area from the road to the fence was hiway right-of-way. Visited Tonto Creek near Horton Creek surprized how many folks were fishing during the week. Went for a night drive to See Canyon trailhead, broke out the stove and had supper. Was debating a hike but pollen allergies was hitting me hard. Next couple of days was quite windy and left a day early.

thanks for the beta. several friends and HAZ members are going to camp at See Canyon. Im staying at the Kohl's Ranch resort and I was curious about the amount of fishing pressure received on Tonto/Christopher/Horton creeks. I'll let you know if I can angle some of the buggers out with a hare's ear.

If you get a chance to fish Horton please practice catch and release. They don't stock it any more and when the browns are gone party over. ;)

We got to stay at the C.C. campground. Had a spot right on the creek. Awesomeness.

Camped at Christopher Creek a second time from May 26 to June 2nd. Returned to work on two of the days. Weather was very good and hiked See and Horton.
