And check out the discussion of El Nino that was released the day after 9/11. We didn't notice it in the press in the last couple of days and think maybe it got lost in the 9/11 media coverage. Anyway, good news, the 9/12 information shows Arizona being clearly wetter than normal. In spite of our own personal experience with "wetter than normal" we welcome this news!

This post once discussed a graphic that appeared on the Climate Prediction Center's gateway page. The post is no longer relevant and has been deleted. The post below was simply added so that this topic would appear at the top of the forum list to call your attention to the "new" El Nino news that was released on Sept 12th, as noted above.

This post was inserted simply to "refresh" the topic and bring it back into view on the HAZ forum so you could check out the "new" El Nino news.

Hey, Teva Joe, maybe you could add a button (in addition to "edit") that would allow a Topic Author to "refresh" a topic without having to use the "post reply" button. That way we could bring up some "news" to the top of the forum list without having to append a useless "placeholder" post ilke this one.

General forum etiquette 101
Bringing a topic up on the list is called "bumping"
basically you just type "bump"
however, excessive bumping is generally discouraged

I'd have to agree myself. If a topic has potential it breeds on it's own.

The forum is so busy (typically Monday lunch... hmm wonder why )
that maybe the topic doesn't get a chance to be seen

Keep in mind the forum thrives best in the summer when it's too hot to hike. You guys are on the reverse plan with all that hiking in little amsterdam, I mean Oregon - ya lucky dogs!
