McDowells at night?

Anyone ever hike out in the McDowells (preserve side, not county side) at night? I'd love to try and take advantage of the weather (and lower temps at night) to get some photos from up there, but the park rules are technically sunrise to sunset only.

Wondering if anyone has any experience with how strongly they mean it when they set those hours, enforcement, risk, etc.?

I know some people hike from 104th & Bell TH until 9pm once a week in the summer. I haven't gone with them this year but no trouble yet.

Hiked back multiple times from Bell's pass in the dark with no problems at all using the 104th/Bell TH. The view of the city from up there at night is pretty awesome! We usually park at the nearby CVS as the parking lot at the trailhead is pretty dark...
