camping along Wet Beaver Creek

When I was up at Wet Beaver Creek 2 weeks ago I noticed that along the trail in various spots there were obvious areas where a fire had been built. Besides the 'campground' is camping along the creek allowed?

Yup. There's some dandy little spots right on the creek close to good swimming holes. Unfortunately, they all seem to see a lot of traffic which means not much solitude and some untidy campsites. It still is a really nice place though. Be a conscientious HAZite and a good Do-Bee and bring an extra garbage sack to do your part. Good luck and take care.

You can camp along Beaver Creek. Camping is best when no one else is there. That rules out weekends. Also, the TH is not a very safe place--don't leave anything in the vehicle.
We have waited until late on a weekday and then hiked some camping stuff up to the weir and camped there on that nice rock slab. We just get up REAL early and beat feet for the TH. Normally, you can have that spot to yourself is you arrive just before dark and leave not long after sunrise.
Not optimal but OK, nonetheless.

PS--Avoid Lawrence Crossing. Too many drunks with way too many guns and far too much ammo for anybody's good.
